Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join our in-house machine shop team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating manual lathes, mills, and related equipment to repair and manufacture hydraulic components, including cylinders, rods, tubes and custom parts.
Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and grinders

Fabricate, modify, and repair hydraulic components and parts to specifications

Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and work orders
-
Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality
-
Collaborate with technicians and welders for complete repair jobs
-
Maintain a clean and safe work area

Perform preventative maintenance on machines
Requirements:
-
Minimum 3 years experience as a manual machinist (hydraulic experience a plus)

Proficient with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)

Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment

High school diploma or GED required
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with hydraulic components

Welding or fabrication skills

Knowledge of cylinder repair procedures

Position Summary:
Calibrated Products, Inc. is seeking a skilled Hydraulic Mechanic (Intermediate Level) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding hydraulic components, including cylinders, pumps, valves, and related systems. This position is perfect for a mechanic who has solid foundational experience and is ready to further develop their skills in a fast-paced shop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, valves, and related components
- Disassemble, inspect, reseal, and reassemble hydraulic equipment
- Perform cylinder tear-down, rod polishing/replacement, tube honing, and seal replacement
- Identify causes of hydraulic system failures and recommend corrective solutions
- Read and interpret work orders, hydraulic schematics, and technical drawings
- Use precision measuring tools to ensure components meet specifications
- Pressure test and function test repaired components
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Collaborate with machinists, welders, and service technicians to complete repairs efficiently
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of experience working with hydraulic systems or hydraulic repair
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read hydraulic schematics and mechanical drawings
- Experience using hand tools, shop equipment, and measuring instruments
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
- High school diploma or GED required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with hydraulic cylinder rebuilding
- Familiarity with pumps, motors, and valve repair
- Basic machining or fabrication experience
- Welding experience is a plus
